The match had reached a crucial juncture when in the 43rd over, Yadav decided to attack Cameron Green. The first delivery of Green’s over was hit by Yadav with perfect timing as the ball went soaring over the boundary rope for a massive six. In a remarkable display of batting prowess, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer powered team India to a convincing 99-run win over Australia in Ind vs Aus 2nd ODI match held in Indore. This victory also secured a 2-0 series win for the Men in Blue.
Shubman Gill (104 runs from 97 balls) Shreyas Iyer (105 runs off 90 balls) were the standout performers of the match with the bat. Their partnership of 200 runs for second wicket set the stage for India’s imposing total of 399 for five wickets. In reply, India were bowled out for 217 runs. The final ODI will take place in Rajkot on Wednesday.
