MotoGP Bharat 2023 format, venues, complete schedule: India is all set to host its inaugural MotoGP Grand Prix, also known as MotoGP Bharat 2023, from September 22-24. The grand sporting extravaganza will take place at Greater Noida’s famed Buddh International Circuit in Uttar Pradesh, the venue which has previously hosted three Formula 1 races between 2011 and 2013. The highly anticipated racing event is expected to attract racing fans from all over the world and will hopefully boost racing sports in the country. Some of the biggest racing superstars in motorsports, including six-time champion Marc Marquez, are expected to compete in India’s first MotoGP race — the Grand Prix of Bharat.

Here’s everything you need to know about MotoGP Bharat 2023 

India’s Buddh International Circuit (BIC) is one of the most famous racing tracks in the world. At this venue, India’s first Formula One race was held in 2011. The BIC racing track in India, designed by Herman Tilke, has undergone remarkable modifications to assist riders achieve maximum acceleration. This circuit is 1.06 km long with 8 right turns and 5 left turns. For MotoGP Bharat 2023 in India, the racing track has been divided into two parts. The first part is downhill which provides maximum acceleration to the racers, while the latter part, which is uphill, helps riders brake late & maintain top speed.

Over the weekend, MotoGP Bharat will see nearly 40 teams participating with 80 riders across Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP categories.

MotoGP Bharat 2023: Dates, Time And Venue

Free practice session takes place on Friday between 4pm and 5pm IST. The session on Saturday kickstarts at 10.40am. The final practice session ends at 11.10am.

From 11.20am to 11.35 am, 1st qualifying session will then take place. At the same day, second qualifying session will be from 11.45am to 12pm. After this, the Sprint race is scheduled to start at 3:30 the same day and gets over at 4.15pm.

The main race day is on Sunday. After a 10-minute warmup session that starts at 11:20am, fans will get to see some of the biggest motorsports racing stars compete in the main race of 24 laps from 3.30pm to 4.20pm.
