The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced fresh central contracts from the men’s team on Tuesday, October 24. Seven new players, including rising star Harry Brook, received their first-ever central contracts which will be valid from Oct 1, 2023.
In a big surprise to fans, red-ball team captain Ben Stokes has signed a contract extension for one year only. Reece Topley and Moeen Ali are also among eight players with one-year extensions along with star batter David Malan who was not part of the previous central contracts list.
Rehan Ahmed, Gus Atkinson, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Ben Duckett, Matthew Potts and Josh Tongue are seven new players to bag central contracts from the ECB.
