While taking a catch can sometimes prove to be a difficult task even for some of the professional cricket stars, a spectator made it look rather easy during the third and the final T20I between Australia and West Indies in Perth on Tuesday. The incident happened when Sherfane Rutherford played a brilliant hook shot that went over the fine leg fence for a six. Even though the fan who took the catch was enjoying a drink, he grabbed the catch by one hand, making it look all too easy.
The video of the spectator’s one-handed catch, without spilling a drop of the drink has gone viral on social media. The clip was first shared by Cricket Australia’s official social media handle.

AUS vs WI 3rd T20I: West Indies Claim Consolatory Win
As far as the match is concerned, while Australia had taken an unassailable lead in the three-match series, this time around it was West Indies who beat Australia by 37 runs at the Optus Stadium in Perth to finish the series 1-2 in favour of the hosts. Andre Russell was the hero of West Indies’ victory as he scored 71 off 29 balls and aided the Men from The Caribbean to 220/6 in their 20 overs. Rutherford, whose six resulted in the one-handed catch from the fan also scored a brilliant 67* off 40, in response, Australia could only muster 183/5 despite David Warner’s 81 off 49.
With the ball in hand, Roston Chase proved to be effective for the touring contingent. In a match where the home team needed to score over 11 runs an over, Chase conceded 19 runs off his four overs and scalped 2 wickets, going at 4.75 runs per over. Romario Shepherd also picked 2 wickets for 31 runs off his 4 overs starring in West Indies’ second win of their tour.
