19-year-old Musheer, younger brother of rising talent Sarfaraz Khan, scored a ton in Mumbai’s second innings against Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy Final.

By the virtue of this feat, Musheer Khan became the youngest batsman from Mumbai to achieve such a feat in a Ranji final, eclipsing Tendulkar’s record that remained the benchmark for nearly three decades.

Musheer Khan, 19 years and 14 days, is now the youngest Mumbai batter to score a hundred in a Ranji Trophy final.

Before Musheer Khan, Sachin Tendulkar’s 140 runs in the Mumbai vs Punjab 1994-95 Ranji Trophy final stood as the record.

Musheer Khan showcased remarkable batting prowess in the Ranji Trophy, making a significant statement with his performances. He scored a double century in the quarter-final, followed by a half-century in the semi-final, and now a century in the final match.

Before his Ranji Trophy exploits, Musheer Khan demonstrated his talent on the international stage by amassing 360 runs while representing India in the ICC U-19 T20 World Cup earlier in the year, solidifying his status as an emerging talent.
