All the 10 teams participating in the 2023 edition of ODI World Cup in India have been finalised. After the end of ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers, the final two teams who join the top eight teams to play ODI World Cup later this year are Sri Lanka and Netherlands. Netherlands, led by Bas de Leede, defeated Scotland by four wickets in a crucial ODI World Cup qualifier match to seal a spot for the tournament. Notably, Netherlands will play in an edition of the ODI World Cup for the fifth time in history. Earlier, the team played World Cups in 1996, 2003, 2007 and 2011.

Netherlands defeat Scotland to seal a spot in top 10 teams of ODI World Cup 2023 in India
Netherlands invited Scotland to bat first after winning the toss. A hundred from Brandon McMullen helped Scotland post a competitive total of 277 runs. In order to become the 10th team to compete in the ODI World Cup, Netherlands required to chase down the target in 44 overs, only then their net run-rate could have been better than Scotland. Surprisingly, the Dutch team chased down the target of 278 runs in 42.5 overs, courtesy of 123 runs off 92 balls by Bas de Leede, laced up with seven fours and five sixes. Not only this, De Leede bagged five wickets in first innings while bowling to restrict Scotland to under 300 odd runs.
