On Saturday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India declared fantasy sports platform Dream11 as the lead sponsor of the Indian cricket team. The fantasy sports platform replaced Byju’s as their contract ended this year in the month of March. Dream11 bagged the deal with the world’s richest cricket board for a period of three years.
During India’s upcoming series against West Indies that is beginning from July 12, Dream11 will be there in Team India’s jerseys. The two-match Test series will be India’s first project in the 2023-25 World Test Championship cycle.
“I congratulate Dream11 and welcome them on board again. From being BCCI’s official sponsor to now being the lead sponsor, the BCCI-Dream11 partnership has grown from strength to strength. It is a direct testament to the trust, value, potential and growth that Indian Cricket offers.
“As we prepare to host the ICC World Cup later this year, enhancing fan experience is among our top priorities and I am confident that this partnership will help us elevate the fan engagement experience,” BCCI President Roger Binny said.
