During the preparations for the upcoming World Cup 2023, a fire broke out in the dressing room at Eden Gardens. It was at late night when it caught fire in the steam room of Eden’s single-story dressing room. Workers immediately alerted the security guards when they saw smoke coming out of the room. However, the fire was doused after half an hour of slogging but the steam room was partially burnt.
