The fate of the Super 4 match between India and Pakistan hangs in balance as drizzling continued in Sri Lanka’s Colombo on Monday, with the weather prediction for the rest of the day not favourable either. Colombo witnessed showers through Sunday night as conditions remained gloomy, much to the chagrin of fans waiting to see a complete match after the India vs Pakistan fixture in the group stage of the Asia Cup 2023 got washed out due to incessant rainfall.
The Asia Cup Super Four game between India and Pakistan went into reserve day after heavy rain and wet outfield made only 24 overs of play possible on Sunday. The contest between the two Asian sides will resume as a full 50-overs-a-side match on Monday at 3 pm, with India 147 for 2 after excellent starts from openers Rohit Sharma (56) and Shubhman Gill (58).
