India had a superb run in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 up until the final where they fell short. There were plenty of things done behind the scenes to ensure India’s most wins at a stretch record in a single edition of a World Cup with India winning ten matches in a row this time around all the way up to the finals. Among the many things that stood out was the ‘Best Fielder’ Medal Ceremony that was being given away after each of the India matches that encouraged many players to give it their best on the field.
India might have lost the final to a better Australian team on the day but fielding coach T Dilip continued the trend and announced the ‘best fielder’ medal ceremony for one final time in the tournament. The video showcased glimpses of the award ceremony after each of their league matches and the semifinals before revealing the winner of the medal of the summit clash and it was none other than Virat Kohli.
“From our first medal ceremony to the last – thank you to all the fans who’ve given us a lot of love for it 💙 Yesterday, we kept our spirits high in the dressing room and presented the best fielder award for one final time,” BCCI’s official X account wrote while sharing the video.

Australia Dominated ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Final
India might have been the most dominant team in the World Cup but in the final it was the Australian side that played a better brand of cricket. They first restricted India to 240 before chasing down the target with 7 overs to spare. Travis Head scored 137 as Australia spoiled India’s grand party plans.
