India vs Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 schedule: The ODI World Cup 2023 schedule deadlock finally got over on June 27 (Tuesday) after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) agreed to venues. Pakistan had objected to square off against India in Ahmedabad and spin heavy Afghanistan in Chennai and Bengaluru. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and International Cricket Council (ICC) objected to PCB’s request and the ODI WC 2023 schedule was unveiled during the grand ‘100 days to World Cup ceremony’ in Mumbai.

Citing political reasons, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wanted India vs Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 match to be shifted to Kolkata, Chennai or Bangalore but despite their objections, the blockbuster IND vs PAK World Cup match will be played at The Narendra Modi Stadium — world’s largest cricket stadium — in Ahmedabad on 15th October (Sunday). The match is highly important for ICC and BCCI as the venue can host a crowd of 1,30,000 and in all likelihood will be a sell-out show.
Ahmedabad fits the best for IND vs PAK ODI World Cup 2023 match considering the hype and presence of VVIPs in attendance. Besides celebrities and top ICC officials, PM Narendra Modi, Pakistan PM and the PCB chief are also expected to be invited to the clash but nothing is official yet.
Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium will also host ODI World Cup 2023 opening match and the mega summit clash. The continental 50-over tournament will kickstart on October 5 with the final on November 19.
