Nick Knight Explains The Reason Behind Rohit’s Frustration
Former England batter Nick Knight, while on air, explained why the Indian captain was a bit upset with how the incident unfolded. Knight highlighted a previous catch by Rohit, where he took a similar catch of Joe Root but opted not to claim it. Instead, Rohit urged the umpire to check the replays, demonstrating uncertainty about the cleanliness of the catch.
“The reason Rohit isn’t happy there is because he had a similar incident this morning. Joe Root’s outside edge didn’t quite carry. He said it didn’t carry there and he came up with it straightaway. You could see that he is saying it’s not out. Or maybe it was,” Nick Knight said during commentary.
