Cricketer KL Rahul, currently leading team India in IND vs AUS 1st ODI in absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma, has not had a great day behind the stumps. On a few occasions, Rahul has let go of extra runs. He had the golden chance to get rid of in-form Marnus Labuschagne but sadly he missed it. The Australia batter was halfway down the pitch, attempting to steal a quick single, when he was stopped midway by Suryakumar Yadav. Rahul failed to get hold of the quick throw from Yadav, giving Labuschagne a second life.
Fans on social media were in no mood to let go of Rahul’s blunder and took out their frustration by trolling the wicket-keeper batter. Check below some viral reactions…

Sorry for the lazyman @klrahul .. please sir, requesting you to keep your feet out of the ground with this laziness. We all have a faith on our cricket team, and for you, we are being criticised. @BCCI @klrahul @JayShah @ImRo45 @rahuldravid_ind

At the time of writing this news article, Australia were 254/8 after 48.2 overs. Despite zero prediction for rain in Mohali, the series opener was stopped for a short while due to rain but luckily the match got resumed. India were off to a great start by getting some early breakthroughs but Australia bounced back, buoyed by half-century from opener David Warner, who then went on to stitch a solid 94-run partnership with Steve Smith for the second wicket.
