CSK Vs GT: Former Chennai Super Kings captain and legend of the sport, Mahendra Singh Dhoni produced a moment of magic on the field as ‘Thala’ took a world class catch to dismiss Vijay Shankar. The moment occured during the 8th over of the second innings when Daryl Mithell came on to bowl his first over, as Gujarat Titans were chasing a mammoth target of 207 after CSK batters had put on a show during the first innings.
The catch was so spectacular that ‘Thala’ dived 2.2m to his right in a stretched motion and grabbed the catch cleanly with both hands and it has now become a highlight reel all over the social media.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was injured for majority of the last season and played out the entire season in pain, but has made immensely impressive recovery and is medically cleared and has 100% match fitness this season.
The legend has however, havent batted this season at all, and given the form of the CSK batters up front, the five-time IPL winner would be pleased by the fact that he hasn’t faced a ball in the Indian Premier League 2024 so far.
The 42 year old gave up the captaincy one day prior to the commencement of the IPL 2024, and Ruturaj Gaikwad has take over the reigns, as the baton seems to have been passed on. So far in IPL 2024, Ruturaj has fared out extremely well and has guided to the side on top of the table with 2 wins out of 2 matches.
