India take on South Africa in the third ODI of the three-match ODI series at Boland Park, Paarl, on December 21. India are coming off a staggering defeat at the hands of South Africa when the Proteas handed the KL-Rahul-led side an 8-wicket defeat.

India had a stellar white-ball calendar year in 2023 and will be looking to close their white-ball cricket for 2023 on a winning note. South Africa, who are coming off a comprehensive victory, will be looking to wrap up the year on a good note after having a topsy-turvy year in which they made it to the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup.

The Boland Park is a great venue for chasing as it has historically been a bowler’s ground. The weather report is positive for cricket fans as there are going to be no signs of rain, with the sky expected to be bright and sunny. Teams will be looking to win the toss and bowl first due to the condition of the ground.

With the majority of main players rested, India came into this tour banking upon the youth and backup options for the team. Sai Sudharshan has been the find of the lot as he has amassed 117 runs in the two innings he has played in the ODI series. Arshdeep has been the key bowler for India this ODI series with 6 scalps. India has been looking to its youth and emerging players this tour to scout the future stars ahead and given the form and temperament of players in this series, it is nothing short of a blessing.

Viewers in India can tune in to Star Sports Network and DD Sports for the telecast of the match live from South Africa. OTT users will have Disney+ Hotstar as an option.  The match coverage will start from 3:30 p.m. IST and the match proceedings will begin at 16:30 IST.
