Fans and the entire cricketing fraternity are set to witness the greatest rivalry of all time as India will be taking on Pakistan in the 2023 edition of the Asia Cup on Saturday. Ahead of the highly anticipated game, India’s golden boy Neeraj Chopra came up with a special message for the Indian team. India’s champion athlete Neeraj ended in the second spot with a 85.71m throw in the Zurich Diamond League 2023. He took some time off and wished the Indian team ahead of their game against Pakistan.
The 25-year-old Chopra finished second as Czech Jakub Vadlejch who registered a best of 85.86m on Friday in the Zurich Diamond League. Chopra won the historic gold medal in the recently passed World Athletics Championships 2023. Chopra produced a brilliant performance and ended up clinching the top spot for India. Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem on the other hand ended up winning the silver medal with a throw of 87.82m, his season best, while world number 1 Croatia’s Jakub Vadlejch won the bronze with his best throw of 86.67m.

Neeraj is now an Olympic champion and the current World Championships gold medallist, becoming only the second Indian after the legendary shooter Abhinav Bindra to win the Olympics and Worlds title. Earlier, Bindra won the World Championships title at just 23 and then Olympics gold at when he was just 25.
Talking about the India vs Pakistan game, the game is slated to take place on September 2, Saturday, at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. The Indian team has a decent record as they have won all three ODIs they played at the venue while Pakistan have won 2 and lost 3 ODIs in this stadium .
