Shubman Gill wins Player Of The Month Award: Prolific India opener Shubman Gill has won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award for the second time in the year 2023. The coveted award highlights the exceptional year Gill has had in 2023. Shubman Gill previously received ICC Men’s Player of the Month award in September 2023 for his impressive performance (India’s top run-getter) in his team’s historic Asia Cup win and for his batting heroics in team India’s 2-0 ODI series win over Australia. Shubman Gill is now the first Indian to win Player of the Month award on multiple occasions. The star opener’s first award was in January 2023 when he scored a maiden double ton in ODIs on 18th January 2023, against New Zealand. The very next month on February 1, 2023, Gill scored his T20I career’s first-ever century against New Zealand.
