In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday, Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) Sunil Narine showcased an impressive batting performance, smashing a half-century in just 21 deliveries for his team batting first on April 3 (Wednesday). Once again deployed as an opener alongside Phil Salt, the all-rounder displayed sublime form as he ripped apart the DC bowling attack.

KKR captain Shreyas Iyer made the decision of opting to bat first after winning the toss. DC’s Khaleel Ahmed made a strong start with the ball, conceding only three runs in extras as neither Sunil Narine nor Phil Salt managed to score any runs in the first over. However, in the second over, Phil Salt found his rhythm by hitting Ishant Sharma for two boundaries.

Sunil Narine registered his first boundary of the game in the third over, while Salt also added more fours in the same over. Narine found his momentum in the fourth over when Ishant Sharma returned for his second over. Narine clobbered Ishant Sharma for 26 runs as he scored three sixes and two fours in that over.
